In Religious Education 11.12.17

This Sunday in religious education, our children and youth will hear a story about thankfulness and another about the universe, consider radical hospitality, identify and publicize an issue, consider differing abilities and paint. 

This Sunday our RE Ambassador is Jenn Whittaker. 

Nursery will be open and staffed by Jennifer Sorensen and Rachel Sturges.  The children will also hear the story “The Thankful Book” by Todd Parr. 

Spirit Play will hear the story “The Universe Story,” a violet promise story about how our world began. 

Teachers: Wil Rivers and Maria Dickinson 

Moral Tales will be consider attitudes of radical hospitality towards all others, regardless of race, class, or creed.  Children will hear a story about a farmer who attends a dinner party and how he was welcomed when he changed his clothes. 

Teachers: Esther Oey and Kathy Wyckoff 

Maker Space will continue making around the ideas of democracy.  They will be creating educational posters for other RE classes around (3) areas they will be voting on later in the month. 

Teachers: Anna Sorensen and Danny Thomas 

OWL/Neighboring Faiths will continue the Our Wholes lives curriculum.  The will be learning about varying abilities and sexual experiences.

Teachers: Jan DeWaters, Jim Williams and Debra Mitchell 

Youth Group  will be traveling to the new Children’s Museum to help paint.  We will be departing the church immediately at 10:30am and returning to church at 1:00pm.
