In Religious Education 10.7.18

This Sunday our children and youth will explore puzzles, consider good and bad in sports, continue creating election materials, participate in a retreat and explore Indigenous Peoples’ Day.  

RE Ambassador is Shelby Hunkins. 

Nursery will be opened and staffed by Katie Boczarski and Will Siegfried. 

Spirit Play will be exploring puzzles.  Our focus will be on what it means to live in community, in the classroom, at the church and in our towns. 

Teachers: Todd Moe and Maria Dickinson 

Spirit of Adventure will continue to explore sports. Just like life, sports have a good side, in good sportsmanship and a bad side, in violence, racism, crudity, drug abuse and other issues. Today, discuss the balance of good and bad in sports.

Maker Space will continue to explore local elections.  They will begin making a brochure to share with the congregation about local election issues. 

Teachers: Ron Tavernier and Miles Manchester 

Coming of Age will participate in their first retreat.  We will come together at 2pm on Saturday, October 6.  We will explore UU history, begin planning for our fundraising projects and participate in some team building activities. 

Teachers: Carol Zimmerman, Relani Prudhomme, Kara McLuckie, Tom VandeWater and Morolake Odetoyinbo 

Youth Group will explore Indigenous People Day.  We will live our faith by looking into this social justice issue.  We will also talk about attending a youth con and the year’s calendar.
